VLA 2022 Annual Meeting Recap

Members, associates, and friends of Virginia Loggers Association enjoyed a wonderful weekend networking, socializing, learning, and having so much fun. Guests this year outnumbered all past annual meetings. The speakers were fantastic and spot-on with topics. Workshops were held for adults and youth in 2022. Rita Hyatt conducted another hugely successful painting class. Miss Belle Simpson taught the youth how to make Dream Catchers and Colonial Williamsburg provided an authentic Storyteller about earlier times in Williamsburg. Many board members and their families attended and facilitated many of the meetings.

Awards were given to many deserving people including the following:

President’s award for 2022 was awarded to C. K. Greene, owner of Virginia Custom Thinning & Chipping.

Keith Biggs received VLA’s 2022 Supporter of the Year award.

Samantha Deffenbaugh received the 2022 Log A Load for Kids Volunteer award.

Nannette Jenkins received recognition and a beautiful bracelet from VLA for her volunteer effort.

VLA is grateful to all attendees, the generous sponsors, speakers, exhibitors, and all our members and friends who made this a terrific annual gathering.
